The Bazi Method: Self Punishment

The ‘Self Punishment’ is quite self explanatory. It generally means only 1 thing – that is you love sabotaging yourself, either due to your own self conflict, dwelling in trivialities or sometimes even pettiness. It’s called ‘Shooting yourself in the foot’ syndrome, or in harsh Cantonese 捉虫入屎胐 .

Self sabotage can come in a few forms. Either you, for some weird reason, decides to suddenly call off something you know you must do, midway hence entirely losing an opportunity that you’ll grow to regret. Or alternatively, you refuse to let go of something/someone/some thought that you know is going to cause you a lot of loss, pain and regret, yet you still keep it.

The thing with people with self punishment is, you knew it was going to happen, you knew it wasn’t going to be nice/good, but you went against it anyways, hence a problem like this can only be solved by you. Those with Horses in their chart will struggle with this, this month.

  1. Hi Mindy, great insight.

I’m gonna ask your opinion about the chart of the son of a friend of mine, because i believe it’s not very frequent something like it.
    HP DM MP AP
    Ji Ding Yi Yi
    You You You You

He has You self punishment in all pillars and a Fu Yin with month and annual pillar.
Can you tell me something about all this “not so good formations”?

    Thank you in advance
